I found this incredible series of self defense videos and more indepth material on how to survive the most critical 5 seconds of your life from the guy who did the Urban Survival course (which is also incredible).
I was actually so impressed with this stuff, the knowledge, the theory, the practical know how, and the straight forward teaching style that I wanted to provide it here on my own site.
I am a HUGE proponent for peaceful living but I believe it is super important to not only have the feeling to protect one’s family and loved ones and oneself, but also have the know how.
If you feel as though you take on the Protector role – you want to keep your loved ones safe, then it is wise to learn how its done.
An Important Note: in my own belief system, which may or may not work for you, all beings are just trying to reach a state of happiness and comfort no matter the actions they take – we all just want to feel good!
But extremely confused individuals may take anti-social actions to achieve this. It’s ignorance that causes them to harm others as well as mess up their own life in the pursuit of feeling better. It is with this belief that I wish only happiness and peace for others.
And it is in this spirit that, given a survival situation, or a self defense scenario that, even though I must take out my opponent, I am not trying to hurt him with rage and anger. I am a program that is set to render the volatile situation inert – no more no less.
We are not here to do damage in my opinion but to learn how to keep ourselves safe and to stop someone else from causing us harm and ultimately themselves harm as well.
So, learn these self defense techniques but do not get wrapped up in the idea that we must be angry to strike down an opponent. All you gotta do is use the technique without emotion to end the danger.
